A path that gives me time.
Sometimes I need a simple continuity I can follow without knowing where it leads. Blue offers such a path here. It bends between yellow edges and gatherings of pigment, holding broad movement and small pauses together.
At each raised passage, the rhythm shifts slightly. I allow myself to stay with a detail before continuing. That is how time feels in this painting: its pauses belong to the journey. The river may pass through an imagined landscape or through me; in either place, it lets me arrive at my own pace.
Colour and material
Blue flow is edged with yellow and discrete accumulations of pigment. The detail photograph shows the difference between a continuous path and the texture of its boundary.
